On Saturday 20th January marks the end of a retreat organized by the Ministry of Transport, Works and Infrastructure at Tendaba Camp. The retreat which brought together senior officials from the public enterprises under the Ministry discussed and mapped out key strategic objectives to be achieved under
the ministry’s mandate such as the Work Plan(2018), the National Development Plan (NDP) 2018-2021 and the two policies-National Transport Policy and the National Public Buildings and Facilities Policies(2018-2028) respectively.
In his closing remarks, the Honorable Minister of Transport, Works and Infrastructure Mr. Bai Lamin Jobe who referred to the retreat as “the Infrastructure Family Retreat” expressed strong confidence that the ministry will play a crucial role in the dispensation of the new Gambia by laying out a sustainable foundation of growth and development in the transport sector. He challenged all to be proactive towards the realization of the lofty goals of the ministry and promise that a mid- term review of our strategic plan will be convened to assess the progress registered so far and challenges that remains to be tackled. He promised that, the ministry shall continued to provide effective leadership and display positive political will to ensure we live up to expectation as enshrined in our National Development Plan (NDP).
